Genaral Information
The property is situated in a village some13 km. away from the town of Chirpan and 60 km. away from Stara Zagora( the sixth largest city in Bulgaria). The nearest international airport is located in Plovdiv, 50 km. away.The area provides excellent condition for cultural and eco-tourism. The ancient St. Atanasii Monastery stands to the south-west of the village, at the foot of a steep hill, on a plateau on the right waterside of the Starata Reka River. Furthermore, the monastery boasts a thermal spring. The Monastery is the eldest one in Eastern Europe.There are remains of an old-time Byzantine fortress to the south of the monastery. Besides, there are excavations of Thracean settlements in the area.
